Program Liaison (position directed towards the VU)

Being the main contact person for each graduate school administration (VU).
Being the face of the journal to students and professors, embedded in each program (VU).
Creating and maintaining a calendar of all graduate school events and important dates.
Closely cooperate with Promotions and Media Editor and Program Liaison/UvA.
Due to the nature of the tasks, this position is suitable for a candidate who is currently enrolled as student on advanced/postgraduate level (primarily at VU, secondarily at UvA or other universities).

Finance and Acquisitions Manager

Managing and being responsible for the journal’s bank account.
Making bank operations through transfers/payments (ie. to designer, printer).
Closely cooperate with the editor-in-chief in identifying new and future funding prospects.
Due to the nature of the tasks, this position demands a Dutch speaking candidate that resides in Amsterdam.


Being the first point of contact (managing correspondence with information inquiries, subscribers, authors etc).
Taking minutes during each meeting and sharing them in a timely manner.

Liaise with the printing agency.
Managing mail-outs and being responsible of the email inbox.
Closely cooperate with editor-in-chief and Promotions and Media Editor.
Due to the nature of the tasks, this position demands a candidate that is residing in Amsterdam.

Promotions and Media Editor

Ensuring all of Amsterdam’s young social scientists know who we are.
Making the journal visible and well known (also outside Amsterdam).
Keeping all the social media platforms updated and buzzing (team up with Web Editor and divide tasks).
Coordinating outreach efforts – making and distributing posters/handouts, visiting classes and conferences
Timely distribution of Call for Papers.
Closely cooperate with Program Liaisons and Web Editor.
