Where does social science happen? In class, of course, and even more so in the discussions between Ph.D. students and their supervisors, but maybe most of all in the deliberations among the editors and the contributors to a journal, a journal of social science. Thus, a new social science journal is first of all a new locus to make social science happen, or if you wish, a site for people to do the science of society with one another.
