Last week I did it. Following the example of millions of fellow citizens, I finally registered with an online dating network. Well, not just any net- work. Rather, I chose to join Elitepartner.de, the self-proclaimed community of ‘cultured and sophisticated singles’. Why did I do so? Given the fact that I am more than happy to have met my girlfriend almost two years ago, my registration might seem rather unnecessary, perhaps even unfaithful. No, finding my new online love was not what I was after.
